Democrats: you're never going to win BECAUSE...

Will the leadership of the Democrats ever learn?

Well, I'm sure they won't read this...and that's the reason how Trump won.

No, I am not claiming to be the font of all wisdom. What I am: is a nobody. An American nobody: white, former military, unemployed. 

Like it or not, Democrats, Trump knew precisely who to play to: the little man. The nobody. The guy without a job. The woman who is struggling to raise three kids on her own. The redneck who hated the black man in the White House.  The neo-Nazi Aryan brotherhood alt-right nutjob who hates anyone who isn't a white gun-toting male.
He played on their fears and worries. He played the Republican masses like a fiddle.

He already had the rich man in his corner. He promised his CEO buddies a place at the bitg table in exchange for their money..and he got it. THEM, he keeps his promises to. But not the little man. Still, he won, and he keeps his base. They adore him. Why? 

He is a SALESMAN. If you wonder why everything is a mucked up mess in D.C. right now, why he is so outrageously outrageous, why he can't say the truth if it kissed him..is because he is a salesman.

Salesman sell. They lie, they fabricate, they do everything they can to get you to buy.

Once he's made the sale, a salesman lets the techs, the experts, the manufacturers, etc to do the actual delivery. He don't do delivery. All he does is Sell the Product.

That's what Trump did, and even his own party is at a loss as to how to actually deliver what he promised...because he sold to them. Too. Because Trump, despite all his money, is a dreadful business man. But he IS a salesman.

There is an interesting...and unrecognized..resemblance between this most recent presidential election and the last one.

On Election Eve, Nov 2016, when the Electoral College votes rolled in, the Dems had the same deer in the headlights look the Republicans had in the Romney/Obama election.
That election had been bought and paid for by some very rich supporters of Romney, and he still lost.

 There were several reasons: Romney's utter disdain of people of color was so painfully obvious it was shameful. You could just see him wiping his hand on his trousers after shaking hands with the victorious Obama. Oooh, n word cooties. But I'll name just three:

Strike one was their ostentatious demonstration of the extremely wealthy. They were more than comfortable, they were disgustingly rich and proud of it. They didn't lower themselves to talking to the little man. No, they had People To Do That.
They wore their wealth as if they'd earned it. Oh, they believed that they Worked Hard For Their Money. (unlike the poor son of a bitch who's working two jobs and can't get more than minimum wage, because the CEO doesn't want to pay a living wage.) Let's forget that Mitt (who's real name is Willard) came from an extremely rich family. His father, George, had been Governor of Michigan and had made a fortune in the car industry. He also put his son on the fast track with the rich and powerful. ROmney's wife came from an equally rich family.

Strike two:  Well, let me quote Romney: "47 million Americans don't pay taxes!" 
If that had been true it was because 47 million Americans had NO JOBS. You don't have to pay taxes on money you don't earn. But Romney failed to say that. Worse, he blamed the victims. The guy out there in the unemployment office, the man who'd given up finding a job because of his age, the woman who was told her welfare and food stamps were something to be ashamed of, were made to feel like shit.


Strike 3: To quote Ann Romney, his simpering, condescending wife, who sniveled "I only paid $1000 for this blouse."
Whoa. A thousand bucks for a blouse and she sounds as if it's something from the Goodwill? Can't you feel her pain? That poor woman. Can't you feel sympathy? Can't you identify with the embarassment she felt, wearing such a cheap piece of fabric?
A thousand bucks for a blouse. Could this say "out of touch" with the little man any louder?
A thousand dollars for a blouse. That's half a mortgage payment.

This is what Hillary projected: the same lack of realization, the same condescension. The same Out of Touch.

That is the Democratic party today. Out of touch, and unwilling to talk to the little man or people of color.

What the democrats fail to realize is: we didn't want Hillary Clinton. She forced herself onto the Democrats, and we didn't want her. We didn't want her when a black man ran for the office, and we didn't want her when she ran against Trump.

It's not just because she's Hillary Clinton-that was a killer from the start-, it's because the Democrats didn't sell her. They didn't sell anybody. They figured, hey, it's a shoe-in. Why bother. No  one can actually believe Trump will win.  We really don't give a shit about the little man, the nobody. We didn't go into the black neighborhoods and give them credit..because the black vote..combined with the white one..put Barack Obama in office. If there had been a lot of black men/women on the Democratic up there with Hillary, maybe things would have been different. We saw a lot of high powered women up with her. Politicans, like herself. Women in power. Women with money.

THe Dems lost because they ignored the little guy, the bottom feeders. Clinton stuck to the big cities. She talked like all politicians talked..but she didn't reach the little person. The one who pays her taxes and still doesn't see much in the way of response. The farmer who sees his crops going unpicked because he can't get Mexican laborers anymore to pick it. The guy who sees the government apparently ignoring him.
She didn't assure us that Bill wouldn't be in the White House, running things (or his hand up some intern's skirt). No, Bill was going to be there.  Same ol' Bill, oozing oil.

No, we were pretty sure things were going to be the same ol' same ol'...lots of talk but once the woman is in the White House, the little man is going to be ignored. Again.

That's one thing Obama had going for him. He was sincere. So was his wife. They talked to us like they were our neighbors. I felt as if I could go up to Michelle Obama and say, can I borrow a cup of sugar? and she'd say come on in, let's have coffee and talk first. You didn't get that with Hillary...nor, for that matter, with Bernie.

What did Trump do? He played to the white man's fears. Little brown people taking our jobs. No work and the government don't care. I lost my house. I can't find a job. It doesn't matter that Trump was lying, it was what the voter wanted to hear: Big Shot is finally HEARING me.   Those of us with any brains knew he was selling and lying...but there's an awful lot of stupid people out there. And even those few Republicans  with brains heard it, and thought, maybe, maybe this time it will work out.

Trump was a lot like a bible thumping evangelist: Believe and Ye Shall Be Saved. Well, there's a bunch of religious people out there who believe with all their heart despite all evidence to the contrary. Grampa is still dying of cancer. Uncle Bill is still an alcoholic. I can't find a job.  My husband never came back. She never paid me back. My car is still a piece of junk. My kid is still an addict. ...But they still pray and they still believe.

That's what Trumpists (Republicans) do. They Believe. Just like Jesus, who ain't come back yet, it's going to happen, just like The Donald Promised.  If I only believe hard enough, everything I've prayed for will come true.

 Mark Twain once said, "It's a lot easier to fool people than it is to convince them that they have been fooled."

If you want to regain ANYTHING of any consequence in Washington, Democrats, you are going to have to get down and dirty. You are going to have to convince the average voter that you care about him or her...despite her color, despite his unemployed status, despite the fact that he is living in his car. You're going to have to suck up to the little man. You're going to have to give that black guy the power. You're going to have to forego the glittering parties. You're going to have to include the little man at the big table.
We white Democrats can't do it alone. We don't have the numbers. We, the little people, are more than willing to have the help of the minorities...but YOU, the leadership, have to do the prosetylizing. 

Otherwise...you (and that includes me) are going to see Republicans win every single time.

Voluntarily walking into the maw of the beast

Today, a US citizen, Otto Warmbier, died after being released by the monsters in North Korea.

He had been tortured. I believe it was a form of strangulation, but whatever. Instead of killing him (they couldn't, after all, kill him outright like they do other North Koreans) they released him in a comatose state. His brain showed signs of long term asphyxiation.

Now WHY was he there in the first place?

Wellllllllll, the easiest way to explain this is for you to read

The author, a young woman, was hired by a Christian Evangelical church to teach English to North Korean elite male students.  This church somehow has wangled it's way into North Korea. Ostensibly, they are not supposed to prosetylize, or mention the buybull, or do anything but teach English, math, etc.

However, Ms. Kim revealed the church's plan: once Kim Jong None (yes, I know how to correctly spell the monster's name but I choose not to) is deposed, the church intends to be the first in the country, all ready to immediately go into full conversion mode. They plan on being on the ground running when the other religious cults are still fumbling about , trying to get a foothold in what they consider 'virgin territory'.  They are covert missionaries.  Quite literally, they are religious spies.

Do they think the North Koreans are so stupid as to not know this?

Do they really think revolution is even POSSIBLE in North Korea?

It is not. There has never been a country, a people more enslaved than the North Koreans. 

You must read two other books, 

“Escape from Camp 14” by Blaine Harden,

   “Dear Leader” by Jang-Jin Sun

as well as Kim's 

   “Without You There Is No Us” by Suki Kim. 

Ironically, the three books cover experiences of the three classes in North Korea: the elite "Dear Leader", the 'military/middle class" ("Without You") and the slave class, (Escape). If you read these three books (and I have three more in the pipeline, which I am trying to get to) you will have a good understanding of what life in North Korea is like. 

Revolution, uprising, change...none of it is possible. NONE. The current monster, Kim Jong, Un, very craftily put himself in power and ANYONE..even his own brother, his own uncle, his sister..who even thinks of doing something other than what Un wants, dies. AND so do their families. 

The teaching is done at the Pyongyang University of Science and Technology. This is, as far as I have read, is the only place where Americans and other foreigners can teach. 

Who..and what..are they teaching? 

They are teaching these young men...children, so to speak, of the privileged upper crust of North Korean government. These students-18-22 years of age, give or take, are not your typical college student. No, they are being groomed for positions in the NK government. Positions that include such things as: designing nuclear bombs and the missiles to carry them all the way to the mainland of the US.

They are learning to speak perfect English, and other languages, in order to infliltrate and act as spies in our country. These spies are also here to murder other Koreans who live lives of freedom in our country.

They are learning to hack into our computers, to disrupt the entire world's world wide web, as was seen just recently by the trojan virus they released that affected millions the world over. 

The church does not care about all of this. All they see is 'souls' to be won, so that they can gain a higher status in heaven. 

I don't know which is worse: North Korea is an enslaved country, where it's people eat grass (if they can find it) and its leader lives like a sultan and threatens America with (increasing success) bombing us with nuclear tipped missiles; or the evangelical christian church which is facilitating Kims reign of terror.

The church is doing it for the most selfish of reasons...first dibs on a people who have no chance whatsoever of being emancipated. Honestly, I don't see religious dictatorship being any different than secular dictatorship. Witness the Catholic Church's destruction of S.American culture. Oh, should I mention the Inquisition? It's all the same...complete control of people and the money they make.

This is what I have come to expect from fundamentalist christians. A willful refusal to see reality, a blind belief that they are accomplishing something worthwhile, and a willingness to go to any lengths in order to further their ideological culture. Oh, and a fourth: an inexplicable astonishment when the monsters teeth they  have put themselves in between finally bite. 

They're like some fool who sticks his hand into a crocodile's mouth and then are surprised when it bites it off. Duh??

Mr. Warmbier was on a tour run by the Chinese. I cannot believe he wasn't warned to be EXTREMELY circumspect in everything he did. Nevertheless, he did something extremely stupid: tried to steal a poster. What the poster said, I don't know but if it had a picture of any of the Kim's (grandfather, father and now son dictators), just touching it with irreverent hands warrants immediate execution. 

Ms. Kim was a covert spy all her own. She readily admits in her book to being an atheist, but hid this information from her evangelical christian peers to keep them from guessing what she was up to. That being, she was really a journalist, with full intentions of writing about her experiences in North Korea. 

Currently there are now three Americans being held in North Korean prisons after being accused of spying. They aren't the first three. No, there is a depressing number of idiots who think they are doing the Lord's work and voluntarily push their luck in North Korea, a dictatorship that has shown a hundred thousand times that it does not tolerate that stuff. 

It's always something religious.

I'm sorry, but I have no sorrow for someone who does this willingly and ideologically blind. I don't feel the need to go to extreme lengths to 'free them'. They did it to themselves. They walked into the slime pit that is North Korea and when they finally get arrested, want help to get out. 

I say no.No, you can't walk into North Korea..or any country, for that matter, and expect them to honor our Bill of Rights. As a tourist you have none. You are subject to that country's laws.  No, you may not teach the North Koreans how to defeat us. No, you may not go there. No, if you get stuck in a North Korean prison camp despite the many warnings, I don't feel the need to spring your dumb ass.

Not because he's transgender, but because he's a traitor

Well, well. Despite my last post, Bradley "Chelsea" Manning is out of prison and on ACTIVE duty. 
WHY?

While it sticks in my gizzard, apparently he's able to stay on Active duty while his appeal wends its slow way through the Army Court of Appeals. How long this will take, I don't know.

And again, while it sickens me, I don't despise him for being, as he says, transgender. 

What I hate is I think he's faking it and getting away with it.  He's done an incredible job of getting what he wants and still gets paid for it. 

While that does piss me off, what pisses me off is that he knew from the start that he wasn't a he but a 'she', and lied to the US Government in order to join the Army.
He then was deployed, which he hated. Instead of sticking it out like thousands of other soldiers (none of whom, including me, liked being deployed either, and in most cases, were in shitty conditions, but still we did our duty), he makes this big decision. In order to go back home, he exposed hundreds of documents in his job as an analyst to our enemies. How many operatives, how many people in the military have been harmed by his actions? Who knows...they may be dead already.  This PFC decided he knew better than all of his fellow soldiers, his NCO's, his officers, the entire US Army..he made this decision because he knew better than everyone what should be revealed, and so he did so. 

Then, when the resulting shit hit the fan, he took refuge in his excuse of  " gender dysphoria"..he did it because he was angry at being a woman in a mans' body and someone is to blame for not being treated nicely.
He did all these things because he was 'unhappy'. But he was also clever. Rather than take his punishment, he figured a sure fire way of escaping punishment. 

What a shock, then, to be tried as a male and sent to a male prison. No, this wasn't in the plan!

He was and is such a fuckup he couldn't even successfully commit suicide. Well, of course he didn't succeed. Suicide in his case was just another way to avoid the consequences of his actions. He's in a male prison and didn't like it, so let's 'cry for help' in the best way to evoke sympathy and reaction.

Oh, he's played you and me, the taxpayer and the veteran, like a fiddle...and continues. He's still on active duty. PLEASE tell me he's not back in Military Intelligence, handling classified documents. Please. Please tell me he's on permanent police call. Don't you dare put him in the mess hall or handling tools in the motor pool.Please. He doesn't deserve anything more than cleaning the toilets in the barracks. He didn't give a shit about the welfare of his fellow soldiers. I wouldn't trust him with a packet of sugar in the mess hall. I wouldn't trust him to even scrub a pot.

I do not envy his NCO's and Officers a bit. Not a bit. I feel sorry for them...they have this...worm in their charge and all he has to do is whine about anything...and gets world class attention. Oh shit, I'm sick to my stomach just thinking of it. "Manning, get out of bed, it's time for PT" "you're so mean, sergeant, I'm calling the newspaper."

I feel sorry for the doctors at the medical facility. "Why can't you give me the surgery now?" "We have no experience in cutting someone's penis off. We only know how to sew it back on to a soldier who LOST IT IN COMBAT. And  how do we know you won't turn around in a year after changing your mind and sue us for doing so?" 

He has no idea how hard it is for a real female in the military. He thinks it's all peaches and cream, right? He has no idea and will NEVER know, because he's being treated with kid gloves. I bet he's got a room to himself. I wouldn't want him for a roommate. No effing way. He's got a dick. I don't . I don't want him near me when I'm in the shower, or getting dressed. 
No way would I trust him in any leadership position. No way would do I trust him in ANYTHING. 
Oh, he can get a cute girly  'do and wear makeup, but like the lipsticked pig, he's still a male and I would refuse to treat him otherwise.  

He is a traitor. Traitors used to be hanged. He won't be, but I sure in hell don't want a penny of my money going to his 're-assignment surgery'. I sure in hell don't want a deserving soldier having his or her surgery delayed because Manning demands his is more important. 
I don't want him considered for promotion. I don't want him being allowed to re-enlist. He doesn't deserve anything but a bad conduct discharge. He needs to keep his effing mouth shut, do what he's told to do, and when his legal proceedings are all done, get the hell out of my Army and stay out. As  a man, as a woman, as a trans, I don't care, just get the hell out.

No, I don't hate him for being transgender. I hate him because I think he's faking it, he's manipulated the entire US Army,  and he's a traitor.
